New Additions

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. We've made a few changes and I've been really focused on them. I've moved a few things around and we added a JCPenney Catalog store. So now when you come to the quilt shop, you can also visit JCP catalog. I've ordered lots of new fabric and it's started coming in. Plus I went on a buying spree. I'm trying a new project too. So, if you haven't already done so, come in and see the changes.

How about a challenge Block. Everyone buys a specific fat quarter and then makes a 12.5 inch square with it and any other "like quality" fabric. Bring it in on a sat and we'll have show and tell. Then we put everyone's name in a drawing and pull a name. The winner gets them all to do whatever they want with them. Make a quilt, use some of them for pillows, whatever you want. Our first one is June 26th at 10:30. Hoping for a good turnout. If so, we'll do another one in July and keep going.

On a personal level, I had a son graduate from high school and is already going to college. No summer break for him. I sure do miss him.

Batiks

Batiks are coming, Batiks are coming!!!!! I just received confirmation that the new shipment of batiks that I orderd is on its way! So if you're one of those people who likes Batiks, come check us out.

We've got several classes we're getting together; Underground Railroad, Spin-n-Grin, Chinelle Rag Quilts, Beginning Quilting/Sewing Class, Make & Take tabletopper (soooo much fun!), scrappy quilt and chevron border. We must have at least 4 people to have the class and MUST preregister. So, call to get the scoop!

Some of you may have heard that JC Penney Catalog Store is coming to Potosi. That's true! It's coming to Quilters Corner. Should be up and running around the middle of May.

I've got to appologize for not updating for a while. I've been extremely busy with all the new changes coming and my boys. I'll try to keep you all posted little better in the future.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas this year. I'm praying everyone has a prosperous and blessed 2010. We here at the quilt shop are planning lots of things for the new year. We have several classes we're putting together, planning to start a "Show & Tell Saturday" also. What do ya think? One saturday a month everyone can come in and show us all the wonderful projects you've all done. Would also like to start a block of the month club, working on that. I've been working on our quilt magazine library also. It's small, but it's a start. Come on in check it out. You may find a new project to start! Also, if you've got old quilt magazines or books you no longer need or want, donate them to our library.

I've had a lot of calls asking about our hours, so here they are.
Mon - Fri: 10:00 - 2:20 (afternoon bus run)
AGAIN from 4:15 - 5:00
Sat - 10:00 - 2:00 unless I have a school trip

As you can see, I drive a school bus, so if I have a trip I usually have to close up shop. I post a sign in the window, but you may want to call first.

Christmas is a comin'

Hope everyone was able to stop by for our Customer Appreciation Days. We had a good turnout. There were 3 lucky winners from the Christmas Gift drawings, they were Ginny McFarland, Sandy Henderson & Mrs. Campbell. I hope they like thier gifts.

With the nights getting longer and the crazy weather getting ready to set in, we don't think its a good idea to schedule any classes. We'd like to get at least one class together for Jan though, so if you all are intersted, call the shop and lets get it scheduled early.

Christmas Holiday Schedule: The shop will be closed for Christmas break 22 - 27 December then will re-open 28-30 Dec, closed for New years Holiday, 31 Dec - 3 Jan, open again Jan 4th and back to the regular schedule, weather permitting. Probably a real good idea to call first if the weather is bad. If school is closed, so am I.

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I can't believe it came and went in the blink of an eye! Now everyone will be focused on Christmas. We don't have any classes scheduled right now - everyone is so busy and the weather is getting colder and no one wants to be out at night right now. But if you are interested in classes, please call the Quilters Corner and maybe we can have just one more class before Christmas. Our last class was the Christmas table topper designed by Stephanie Lee. We had so many interested, we had 3 separate classes (about 12 people in all). I'll try to get a picture on here for you all.

I've been adding magazines and books to our quilters library so all can browse them for ideas. Come on in and check them out.

Merry Christmas to you all. My prayer for all is that Christmas is celebrated for it's true meaning and families will come together to cherish each other and realize each one of us is a gift from God. May God bless you all this year at Christmas.

Customer Appreciation Days!

To thank you all for helping me keep things going for a while, we're having a Customer Appreciation Days; Friday, Dec 4th 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and Sat, Dec 5th 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. We'll have New Fabric, Specials, Christmas gift drawing and refreshments. Great Christmas gift ideas!

Also, wanted to let you know we will be closed Nov 25 - 27 for Thanksgiving Holidays.
But I'm opening Sat, Nov 28th 9-3 special hours for all you Christmas shopper.

A little closer, this sat, nov 21st. I have a bus trip so the shop will be closed. Sorry. :-(
