WHEN? Satruday, JUNE 11 (which is also the last day of our 15-30% SALE!)
TIME? 10 am - 11 am

What's a FABRIC SWAP? Well, have you heard of the new fad where friends get together and swap clothes? Well, it's just like that, but we're gonna be swapping FABRIC! how FUN!! Everyone brings in fabric that they'd like to swap with someone else for different fabric that THEY bring in.

The rules are simple:

• fabric MUST be at least the size of a fat quarter (18"X22") or larger



• NO double knit



• you swap one piece-for-one piece of agreed upon size/description



• negotiations are between the individuals



• negotiations must be of mutual agreement



• Quilter's Corner will not be held responsible for any unsatisfied trades

Quilters Corner's First EVER Show and Tell TOMORROW!

We're having a show and tell tomorrow...that's right! Bring in your sewing and/or quilting projects between 9a-10a and show us while telling us all about it. How did you do it? What pattern is it? Where'd you find the pattern and/or idea? We want to know these things. Inquiring minds want to know. We're passionate about cloth and findings and all that jazz, and sewing and quilting projects get our groove going, we'd LOVE to see them. You can enjoy some good company and complimentary coffee with doughnuts, too.

The shop will be open tomorrow, Saturday, May 28 from 9a-2pm, with the optimal time for Show and Tell to be between 9a-10am! Come one, come all with your sewing, fabric, or quilting projects to share with us. Show off your hard work, we'll appreciate it the time you put into it!

New Additions

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. We've made a few changes and I've been really focused on them. I've moved a few things around and we added a JCPenney Catalog store. So now when you come to the quilt shop, you can also visit JCP catalog. I've ordered lots of new fabric and it's started coming in. Plus I went on a buying spree. I'm trying a new project too. So, if you haven't already done so, come in and see the changes.

How about a challenge Block. Everyone buys a specific fat quarter and then makes a 12.5 inch square with it and any other "like quality" fabric. Bring it in on a sat and we'll have show and tell. Then we put everyone's name in a drawing and pull a name. The winner gets them all to do whatever they want with them. Make a quilt, use some of them for pillows, whatever you want. Our first one is June 26th at 10:30. Hoping for a good turnout. If so, we'll do another one in July and keep going.

On a personal level, I had a son graduate from high school and is already going to college. No summer break for him. I sure do miss him.

Batiks

Batiks are coming, Batiks are coming!!!!! I just received confirmation that the new shipment of batiks that I orderd is on its way! So if you're one of those people who likes Batiks, come check us out.

We've got several classes we're getting together; Underground Railroad, Spin-n-Grin, Chinelle Rag Quilts, Beginning Quilting/Sewing Class, Make & Take tabletopper (soooo much fun!), scrappy quilt and chevron border. We must have at least 4 people to have the class and MUST preregister. So, call to get the scoop!

Some of you may have heard that JC Penney Catalog Store is coming to Potosi. That's true! It's coming to Quilters Corner. Should be up and running around the middle of May.

I've got to appologize for not updating for a while. I've been extremely busy with all the new changes coming and my boys. I'll try to keep you all posted little better in the future.

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas this year. I'm praying everyone has a prosperous and blessed 2010. We here at the quilt shop are planning lots of things for the new year. We have several classes we're putting together, planning to start a "Show & Tell Saturday" also. What do ya think? One saturday a month everyone can come in and show us all the wonderful projects you've all done. Would also like to start a block of the month club, working on that. I've been working on our quilt magazine library also. It's small, but it's a start. Come on in check it out. You may find a new project to start! Also, if you've got old quilt magazines or books you no longer need or want, donate them to our library.

I've had a lot of calls asking about our hours, so here they are.
Mon - Fri: 10:00 - 2:20 (afternoon bus run)
AGAIN from 4:15 - 5:00
Sat - 10:00 - 2:00 unless I have a school trip

As you can see, I drive a school bus, so if I have a trip I usually have to close up shop. I post a sign in the window, but you may want to call first.
